Emoov Localisation

Emoov - an online estate agent website relies heavily on lead generation and conversion of potential property sellers visiting their website. The lead capture process begins when a user visiting the website enters the "Book a valuation" journey and provides their details to book a face-to-face appointment with the Local Emoov property agent. The issue was there was a consistent drop in the number of users entering the journey and dropping off at each step. There was also an issue where users did not trust or understand what Emoov really did and thus it was necessary to win the user's trust at this point to capture their details.

In order to understand user behaviour better, after analysing the data and gathering insights through google analytics and other tools we decided to run tests on the website with two concepts

Concept 1 - The solution was to capture user's postcode upfront and running a search to expose information to the user like the number of properties Emoov has listed in their postcode area, reviews of the local property agents as well as the amount of money our customers saved on average in thar postcode area.

Concept 2 - We also developed a referral map, wherein once a postcode is entered we exposed a local property agent in their area alongwith reviews posted from the users postcode area and visually displaying properties sold by Emoov in the particular postcode area.

  • Research (Who are the users? Where do they drop off? Why are they dropping off from the cycle?)
  • Documentation
  • Create early low-fi designs and maintain constant communication with stakeholders (keep everyone in the loop to prevent big surprises)
  • Iterate & test (user test where possible)
  • Create interactive prototypes for testing
  • Iterate & test (user test where possible)
  • Support implementation
  • Measure results and track the success of the project based on data.
